Goal
Our goal was to establish a small Financial Shared Service unit with up to 20 employees during the first year, and to support the client in extensive growth by filling all new and recurring vacancies during the next years.
Process
Before the decision to expand to Estonia was made, we offered Labour Market Consultation in cooperation with Estonian Investment Agency to Konecranes’ management, sharing information about local talent availability, recommended locations, labour legislation, and salary levels.
During the market entry phase in 2013, we worked closely together with Konecranes to set up a plan for establishing the financial unit in Estonia, and recruited a local management team. Recruitment of first financial specialists followed shortly.
As the operations in Estonia proved highly efficient, Konecranes pursued further growth of the shared service concept through expansion across EMEA and APAC regions. In consequence, the demand for skilled financial specialists grew with the need for a variety of particular language skills.
Result
The initial team was successfully set up according to plan and on time. Our close cooperation has continued through the following 7 years by filling new and recurring positions.
In total, we have recruited 100+ employees for Konecranes locally as well as relocated international talents.
